Legal Secretary - Johannesburg

General Knowledge in the Liquidation and Sequestration Industry and the administration of Insolvent estates.

Normal Secretarial duties.

Book keeping Knowledge

General Office management such as monitoring and ordering of printing cartrages , Toner , paper stationary etc.

Liasement with our IT TEAM if and when relevant re general office functions.

General typing of correspondence and reports.

Liasing and instructing Auctioneers re asset realization etc.

Scheduling / Advertising of creditors meetings and liaison with creditors in Liquidated / Sequestrated estates.

Compiling and preparing of Liquidation and Distribution Accounts with the necessary vouchers and substantiating documents / vouchers to the Master of the High Court.

Requesting and checking Creditors claims in estates , filing and processing of the claims.

Sending out of the necessary circulars in estates to creditors.

General correspondence typing to Banks , Creditors , Debtors etc.

Monitoring and getting feedback on estates where Joint Liquidators are attending to the administration of estates.

Liasing and corresponding with the various internal offices of the company.

Liasing with the Master of the Hig Court in re 1st meetings of creditors to be scheduled , Final appointment certificates to be obtained etc.

Opening of estate banking accounts and compiling all relevant documents in order to do so.

Applying and liasing with Joint Liquidators in General ea – Compiling of Bond reductions , Extension Affidavits to lodge Liquidation and Distribution accounts , Obtaining Affidavits for Liquidation and Distribution Account etc.

Attend to arrangement of Special and General meetings of Creditors.

Diarising and monitoring of Inspection periods re Liquidation and Distribution Accounts.

General typing of letters and correspondence to the Master of the High Court and any stake holder in estates.

Placement of All adds and liaison with the Government Gazette , Beeld and Citizen.

Compiling of second meeting of creditors reports and the resolutions.

Liasing with Creditors in general ,such as obtaing claim forms , sending out of reports and general queries on all estates.

Running on insolvent estates (obtaining requisitions)”

Good knowledge and experience in typing.

General knowledge of the Insolvency / Liquidation Industry.

Diary management.

Billing and general administration duties

Able to work independently and under pressure.

Excellent communication skills ,written and spoken.

Fluent in English – Afrikaans speaking ability would be a plus.

Computer literacy in Micro Soft Office , Excel , outlook and billing.

Well organized.

Matric or higher.

Own reliable Transport.

Preferably between 35 and 50 years of age.
